National Space Centre

Space, the final frontier. Well, near enough, the National Space Centre! On Tuesday 5th July the Year 5 children along with Mr Stonehouse, Mrs Finney, Mrs Hutt and Mrs Mills had a fantastic day at the National Space Centre in Leicester where they explored all the exhibits learning even more about the planets and space travel (including how astronauts go to the toilet!) They enjoyed all of the interactive exhibits too, including driving a small robotic vehicle on the surface of Mars and recording a weather forecast. The highlight of the visit was watching a film entitled ‘Astronaut’ in the 360° planetarium theatre. It was so realistic that Mr Stonehouse and some of the children felt a bit space sick. The Year 5 children were amazing and a credit to Park Lane, using their values throughout the day. Well done year 5!
