Wildlife Sanctuary Visit

On Monday 13th March, year 2 were visited by the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary to link with our new topic on animals. They brought with them various animals from the sanctuary such as owls, hedgehogs and even millipedes! The children loved getting to see the owls in person. It was even better when we saw how big their wings were! The children also got to meet Hagrid the hedgehog and watched how he protects himself from being eaten by predators by curling into a ball. We all learnt some interesting facts about the different animals and it was an exciting start to our new topic.
Thank you to all the children that made donations such as dog and cat food, bird seed and blankets as these were all greatly appreciated by the sanctuary.
