The Park Lane football team took to the pitch once again on Monday 20th November. This time it was to compete in the BPSSA tournament. The team put in a determined performance in all three group games, impressively not conceding a single goal. Winning one game and drawing the other two games, Park Lane finished in second place just two points behind the winners.
On Monday the 27th November, Park Lane was very proud to offer some of our Year 1\2 pupils the opportunity to represent their school for the first time, as part of the Key Stage 1 Dodgeball team. Travelling by minibus to Race Leys, this excited young team took part in the BPSSA Dodgeball tournament. The team played a total of eight games against a variety of different schools, winning, drawing and losing in a very sporting manner. The team represented the school exceptionally well whilst displaying lots of the values of the school. Their perseverance to prove to themselves that they could win and improve was impressive to see. The team eventually finished in fourth place which was more than pleasing to this young and enthusiastic team of athletes.
Archery and Boccia
Park Lane hosted the School Games annual Inclusive Archery and Boccia tournament on Wednesday 29th November. These children provided a impressive image of the school, showing the school values throughout the morning. Some of our year 6 students competing offered to show some of the visiting children, to the facilities that they needed throughout day, showing their kindness and initiative when visiting school children were unsure of where to go. The morning proved to be a very good one for us at Park Lane, as two of the three teams we entered managed to finish in 1st and 2nd place. The children’s abilities were very impressive with the bow and arrow and they all showed patience and precision during Boccia. Park Lane will now represent the area in the next round of the School Games.
Park Lane is very proud of you all.
